    In an effort to further reduce its environmental footprint, Japan Airlines looks to use sustainable aviation fuel on select flights.
    The first regular steps will be in effect by the end of January, when Japan Airlines plans to operate select flights from San Francisco to Tokyo fueled by SAF, supplied by Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K.
    Japan Airlines has invested in growing SAF technology for more than a decade. The airline will innovate with a flight fueled by recycled clothes scheduled for 2020.
