    The numbers of golfing tourists to Ireland has remained constant contributing €270 million to the Irish economy annually. The high-end tourists in Ireland are mostly from North America. These are high-end tourists, with Fáilte Ireland data confirms that golf tourists typically spend three times more than the average tourist and account for over 1.7 million in accommodations. Indeed, the average spending of a golf tourist is €2,000 during their stay, with some 80 per cent of that going on non-golf related activity in the hospitality sector.

    South Australia's tourism sector has hit an all-time high with a huge increase in spending by tourists over the past year. Tourists have spent $7.6 billion in this period, which is the highest expenditure by them so far.
    The latest international and National Visitor Survey shows an increase in visitors' expenditure, up 12 per cent from last year.
    The regional visitor expenditure has grown to a record-high $3.3 billion, up 19 per cent- now contributing 44 per cent to the overall visitor expenditure in South Australia.
