• Virginia sees record-breaking year for international tourism last year

    Virginia state tourism officials are of the opinion that international visitors to Virginia spent a record-breaking $1.9 billion last year.
    Gov. Ralph Northam's office said that international visitation reached 1.1 million people in 2017, growing at a faster rate in Virginia than in the United States overall. By 2027, international visitors are expected to keep increasing, reaching 1.5 million.
