    Recording its 27 th consecutive month of growth, about 5.9 million passengers travelled through Heathrow in January. It was an increase of 2.1 per cent against the last year. The rise of air travel is attributed to passengers returning home after the winter holidays.
    Africa and East Asia continue to be among the best performing regions, up 9.7 per cent and 5.6 per cent respectively. As per Heathrow chief executive, John Holland-Kaye, more passengers are choosing to use Heathrow because of their improved service and lower costs.
