    Strong winds grounded operations at the Sydney airport as almost 100 flights in and out of the city were cancelled, leaving thousands of travellers stranded.
    Only one runway is being used which has affected both the international and domestic flights and thousands of passengers.
    On Friday, The Bureau of Meteorology, issued a severe weather warning for damaging winds over New South Wales's southeast - stretching from the Victorian border up to the Hunter region.
    Qantas has scheduled additional flights on Saturday from Sydney to Melbourne and Brisbane manage the Friday's delays.
